Summary
At Lykke, we believe the best solution isn’t homegrown. We’ve built an open-source, blockchain-based exchange platform and tools in-house, and are now launching a series of open innovation projects to help our community build on top of them and solutions to fit their needs. We need a few good project and community managers to help us make these projects a success.
You’ll work with our exchange platform team as well as the team who manages Streams, our open innovation, and collaboration tool. Your responsibilities will include helping to create the design briefs, incentive structures, and outreach plans, as well as writing evaluation criteria and steering the project as it progresses. Work will be on a project-by-project basis: you can take on as many or as few as you like.
Who we're looking for
The ideal candidates will have the ability to operate in many spheres: communicating with project participants, nailing down requirements, digging into technical details, and asking question when things aren’t clear.
To make sure you’re a good fit, we’re asking you to help us plan a sample project. Our search will be run a bit like a competition, with awards for the top performers (in addition to follow-on work) as well as several reserved for individuals with great ideas. But in keeping with our community-focused mission, because we’re asking for you to provide value to us we want to recognize it: if you send us a completed submission that you’ve clearly put effort into, we’ll send $25 in LKK to you, even if you aren’t selected as a top winner. Limited to the first 25 submissions.
For this exercise, say we want to improve Streams itself. Right now the process is fairly opaque and closed, we would like it to be more open and collaborative - people should be able to have their submissions reviewed by the community, get feedback, and iterate during the course of the project. We want to run a Streams project to find, design, and implement this functionality in our platform.
Submissions
Please send us:
-
A design brief for the product improvement project. It should be descriptive, concise, and interesting enough to attract an audience of qualified collaborators.
-
Incentive structure. How will you distribute an award? What else can be offered, besides money? We want to create as many winners as possible and recognize everyone’s contributions -- not a winner-take-all. How can we make the project collaborative and achieve the best end result possible?
-
An outreach plan. Where will you publicize this? Who should participate? What skills will we need?
-
Evaluation criteria. What does success look like? How do we choose amongst submissions?

There is no guarantee of winning a prize. The prizes are only awarded to entries that the Lykke judges find worthwhile. Prizes are awarded in Lykke coins, which may be redeemed for currency and sent to your bank. You must be at least 18 years of age. You must not submit twice — your first submission is the one that counts. You will be responsible for declaring your own income to your local tax authorities. All submissions will be disclosed to the public. The prizes are given at Lykke’s sole discretion. The decisions of the judges will be final — there is no appeals process if your project does not win a prize. No other compensation will be given at this stage except as described above.
